Tumor Type: Pilocytic Astrocytoma
Notes: After initial diagnosis, told that surgery (tumor on brain stem) was VERY high risk - had problems with cyst near the tumor filling with fluid. Had tremors, balance problems, vision and speech difficulty, low energy. After 4 separate cyst aspirations, decided to have surgery to remove the tumor. Had the tumor removed (and now is symptom-free), and is feeling mostly back to normal.

Notes: Tumor on cerebellum. Had severe vomiting; acupuncture for 6 months stopped it. Had Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy. Deficits are all motor-related and include right-side weakness, balance and coordination problems, and difficulty writing. Works full time. No medication now.
Medications: Decadron, many anti-nausea medications
