100% LOVE

Max

Max Wilford is 4.5 years old and therefore can’t write this story himself, so I’ll lend him a hand. If he could, he’d tell you that a battle is raging in his head, and that his good guys are winning. Max knows that “Astrocytoma” is the name of the bad guy, and he’s SuperMax, so clearly he’s winning. SuperMax knows all about his brain stem, where the remaining tumor resides, post-surgery, as well as the other major parts of the brain. He loves to tell his nurses about Mitosis, white blood cells, and the bad guys that are melting away because of his superpower medicine and superfoods he uses. SuperMax clearly feels loved and empowered to fight the tumor, which is what matters most at this stage in the process. Max was diagnosed with a brain tumor in early August, 2011. The symptoms were tough to identify and slowly presented in over a year’s time. We didn’t expect to be rushed to the hospital after a diagnostic MRI, yet there we were. Max endured emergency brain surgery and is recovering from resulting damage and physical disabilities while undergoing chemotherapy. He’s using his strong story, incredibly positive attitude, competitive spirit, and sweet heart to fight this battle with love. Backed by an amazing community of loved ones and supporters, we started a non-profit to pay some of this amazing energy forward (www.maxloveproject.org) to other SuperKids fighting cancer.
