My mother started having seizures in August of 2012. Prior to this she was very healthy, very active in her community. She ran the zero waste program and organic garden at the local elementary school. My mom was so sooo much fun! We laughed and played a lot together. We enjoyed drinking Stella together and making crazy plans. Her seizures got worse and started affecting her ability to walk. They found a tumor. She had surgery and we were given her awful diagnosis GBM. 3-4 months without treatment about a year with treatment. 4 days later my husband and I found out we were pregnant with our first baby. My mom opted to do the treatment hoping to meet our a baby. I took care of my mom everyday while I was pregnant. She met our beautiful baby June 28, 2013- she passed away August 11, 2013. I still can’t believe she is gone- I miss her so much it hurts. Having my daughter come into my life during this time has been such a blessing- I will just have to tell her stories about her amazing grandma!!
