Niki was my everything

Published on August 18, 2016 in Share Your Story

After my wife, Niki, fell in the shower, a CT scan at the hospital revealed 5 tumors. A subsequent biopsy indicated they were Glioblastoma Multiforme, grade 4. That was March 29th. With her performance factor being so poor and degrading daily, and no humane treatment options available, we came home, where I kept her as comfortable and maintained her dignity as best I knew how. I watched the cancer take everything she had, destroy the woman she was, and when there was nothing left to take, finally kill her 5 weeks later. My beloved Niki passed away on May 2nd.

Niki was the love of my life and the pain, emptiness, and grief are beyond words. Life is not nearly as sweet as it was. Please help defeat these tumors so that others do not have to go through what Niki did.
