My Unexpected Journey

Published on July 22, 2018 in Share Your Story

I was eight years old and I had been diagnosed with a meningioma tumor in the center of my brain. I was so young, but I was brave. I died for a few minutes during my first surgery, because I had hydrocephalus and they accidentally snipped a blood vessel. I climbed the staircase to heaven, and I got to wrap my arms around my Dad. I had my first surgery in 03’. I’ve had two more surgeries for scared tissue and three surgeries for VP shunt. I may suffer partial epilepsy and short term memory loss, but heaven is an experience I will never forget.
