Your 2022 Survivor Speaker — Cole Williams

Cole was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the age of 8 which was six years ago. Last year, we celebrated him being five years cancer free!! Cole has been through more than any young man should have to endure in a lifetime. However, he doesn’t let any of that stop him.  Cole is a full-of-life 15-year-old boy, who enjoys hanging out with his friends, playing football, and lounging in his room playing video games or watching his phone much like all other teenagers do. We are very blessed and I thank God each and every day for our success story. We are excited and honored to run, jog, and walk in honor of my son’s success, also for those who still have to fight the fight, and for those whose fight was just too great.

Shawna W., Cole's Mom

  • Register to be a virtual participant
  • Recruit by sharing the event on social media
  • Share your personal story with us to share with the brain tumor community

Volunteer Planning Committee

It’s never too early to begin planning. Join the group of amazing volunteers that lend their time and talents year after year to help us plan and add to the event, making it better and better each year.

COVID protocols

NBTS will be monitoring all guidance and guidelines in place by the CDC and local government in the spring and will make the best decisions for our vulnerable community. Any guidelines will be communicated to registered participants in the weeks leading up to event day. We ask those unable or unwilling to abide by requested COVID-related protocols on event day to participate virtually from the comfort of their home. No registration fees nor donations will be refunded.

Important note about COVID-19:

(updated 2/22)

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, National Brain Tumor Society plans to implement the following safety measures for in-person outdoor 2022 events. Please note these are subject to change if conditions worsen in the coming months. NBTS will continue to follow local and national CDC guidelines related to safely convening our community. Please be advised that while we realize restrictions are loosening in some of the regions that we serve, the health and safety of our most vulnerable attendees is our greatest priority. Please reach out to Suzanne Isbell at sisbell@braintumor.org if you have any questions or concerns.

  • No on-site registration
  • Online health screening for all registered participants 24-48 hours prior to event start
  • Masking required for all volunteers, staff and vendors
  • Masking strongly encouraged for all participants attending
  • Physical distancing when possible
  • Enhanced sanitation
  • Prepackaged refreshments will be available, but participants are highly encouraged to bring their own

Thank you in advance for your cooperation in adhering to the above protocol during your event. We are so excited to come together as a community after two years and with your help, we can do so safely.

As an event sponsor, your organization will connect with the brain tumor community on a platform that will enable meaningful and enduring impact for both your brand and our mission. Sponsorship will allow your organization to make a difference in the lives of millions.
