How to Get Involved

GBM Takes; We Give: It takes so much from us, but on Glioblastoma Awareness Day and throughout the year, we honor, act, and give back. On this page you can also find resources that you can share online. We encourage everybody to utilize these resources to help spread awareness.

Become an Advocate for Medical Research

GBM patients need better treatments and a cure, and the only way that will happen is through research. As the largest funder of brain tumor research in the world, the federal government is a key stakeholder in understanding GBM and conducting research that will lead to treatments. Advocate now by asking your members of Congress to increase research funding so that we can continue to crack the code on GBM.

Join the Conversation & Take Action

We’re so glad to have you involved in this day of commemoration and action for glioblastoma! Join us throughout the month of July. We’ll be sharing stories and content to help honor, learn, and act leading up to GBM Awareness Day. Sharing content online for #GBMDay will increase the reach and power of our advocacy, help educate and engage the public, and raise resources needed to accelerate the development of new, more effective treatments for GBM patients. We encourage you to post liberally across all of your individual/organization’s/personal social media accounts.

Social Media Messaging Toolkit

We’ve put together the toolkit below to help provide you with all of the resources you need to engage, participate, and spread awareness during #GBMDay on social media. The most important way you can follow the conversation on social media, and join yourself, on Glioblastoma Awareness Day is to use the day’s official “hashtag”: #GBMDay (see the full social media toolkit for more hashtags to use during the day). Our NBTS social media team will be online and looking to retweet and share your posts!
