- June 20, 2013: NBTS weighs in with the Appropriations committees in both the House and the Senate as they work on the Fiscal Year 2014 budget. In the letters, we ask the House and Senate Appropriations committee’s Defense subcommittees to continue to support the Peer Reviewed Cancer Research Programs, which includes pediatric brain tumor funding. We also ask the House and Senate Labor, Health, and Human Services subcommittees of Appropriations to support critical research funded through the National Insittutes of Health (NIH), the largest funder of brain tumor research in the country.

- 12/21/12: NBTS joins 11 partners from the Patient Equal Access Coalition (PEAC) in asking HHS to ensure that the Essential Health Benefit designs in states’ Exchanges provide affordable access to oral chemotherapy.
- 5/30/12: NBTS, American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and 100 other cancer organizations and research institutions urge Congress to make NIH funding a top priority in FY2013
- NBTS joins coalition of 35 partners strong to insist the House and Senate Appropriations Committees support funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
