June 20, 2013: NBTS weighs in with the Appropriations committees in both the House and the Senate as they work on the Fiscal Year 2014 budget. In the letters, we ask the House and Senate Appropriations committee’s Defense subcommittees to continue to support the Peer Reviewed Cancer Research Programs, which includes pediatric brain tumor funding. We also ask the House and Senate Labor, Health, and Human Services subcommittees of Appropriations to support critical research funded through the National Insittutes of Health (NIH), the largest funder of brain tumor research in the country.
