2023 Annual Report

Thanks to supporters like you, we funded groundbreaking research and programs that provide community support to people living with brain tumors and their care partners. Your contributions also strengthened our public policy efforts, ensuring that the urgent needs of the brain tumor community are recognized and addressed.

Highlights in the 2023 Annual Report include:

• Voices of patients, care partners, researchers, advocates, supporters, and other members of the brain tumor community 
  
• Brain tumor research grants totaling $2.9 million, including two that aim to advance promising, novel strategies to take on glioblastoma (GBM)
  
• Expansion of the DNA Damage Response Consortium, in partnership with Yale Cancer Center, that is evaluating 15 experimental therapeutics for seven different tumor types
  
• A positive final stage clinical trial for patients with diffuse gliomas that NBTS helped propel forward
  
• Brain Tumor Investment Fund’s portfolio of well-qualified early-stage projects that hope to ultimately deliver transformational treatments and technologies to patients with brain tumors
  
• Advocacy and policy change, including an increase in federal funding for brain tumor research and the creation of insurance billing codes for patient navigation services
  
• Support and navigation for the brain tumor community, with a 32% increase in direct personalized support and navigation year over year
  
• Our Donor Honor Roll recognizes top fundraising teams and individuals, community events, corporate and foundation partners, and donors
