2024 Annual Report

Thanks to supporters like you, we funded cutting-edge research and programs that provide support and navigation to patients with brain tumors and their care partners. Your contributions also strengthened our advocacy efforts, ensuring that the urgent needs of the brain tumor community are recognized and addressed at the highest levels.

Highlights in the 2024 Annual Report include:

• Voices of patients, care partners, researchers, advocates, supporters, and other members of the brain tumor community 
  
• Brain tumor research grants totaling $1.9 million across many tumor types, including but not limited to astrocytoma, atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor (AT/ RT), craniopharyngioma, diffuse midline gliomas (DMG/DIPG), embryonal tumors, ependymoma, glioblastoma, medulloblastoma, meningioma, metastatic brain tumors, and oligodendroglioma
  
• Two new Quality of Life Research grants were announced with the aim of improving the lives of patients with brain tumors and their caregivers
  
• Advocacy and policy change, including championing the introduction of the Bolstering Research And Innovation Now (BRAIN) Act and an increase in federal funding for brain tumor research
  
• Launch of the MyTumorID^TM campaign, the first-ever public health campaign targeting the brain tumor community
  
• Brain Tumor Investment Fund’s portfolio of well-qualified early-stage projects that hope to ultimately deliver transformational treatments and technologies to patients with brain tumors
  
• Support and navigation for the brain tumor community, including the brand-new Caregiver Support Conversations virtual support group
  
• Our Donor Honor Roll, recognizing top fundraising teams and individuals, community events, corporate and foundation partners, and donors   
  
• Launch of the Legacy Society, a new giving community that empowers supporters to leave a lasting imprint on the future of brain tumor research and care through a bequest or other planned gift
