Share Your Story Through Video

We invite you to share your story by recording short videos on your phone or computer to help raise awareness about this devastating disease. Your responses will inform the work we do and may be included in future content.

As a thank you for submitting video for GBM Awareness Day through the link below, you will be entered for a chance to win a National Brain Tumor Society giveaway pack. In order to be entered into the raffle, you must complete the video submission, as you’ll provide your name and email at the end of the process. Thank you for sharing your story through video for #GBMDay.

  1. Click on the link below to be directed to our Vocal Video platform. There, you’ll follow the steps to answer six questions about your story. You do not have to create an account.
  2. Before you hit record, keep the following in mind:
    • You will answer each question separately, and you will have the option to rerecord your response if you would like to.
    • Stay relaxed and be yourself.
    • As you answer, try to incorporate the question as part of your response to give context to what you’re saying.
    • Your answers to each question can be as short as 15 seconds or as long as five minutes.
    • You will need to record in a horizontal position.
    • Consider what you are wearing and sitting or standing in front of when you record your responses.
      • Dark, solid colors work best in video. Avoid busy patterns or all white.
      • Keep your main light source in front of you. For example, you can use natural light from a window to light up your face.
      • Avoid windows or bright light behind you.
      • A simple background is best so your background is not distracting. That being said, try not to sit or stand right in front of or next to a wall.
      • Look for a quiet space to record your video away from any distracting sounds.
  3. If you have any questions, please contact NBTS through the email shared on the screen in our video platform.
