Changed Forever

Paul

I was diagnosed in May ’09 after having a grand mal seizure for the first time. I didn’t have headaches; I only had anxiety attack-like situations were I found out later they were probably mini seizures. I have an oligoastrocytoma grade 3 in my right temporal lobe. I had surgery, radiation, chemo, and cyber knife. I was 25 years old when I was diagnosed and I am about 2 years out of treatment. This has been a whirlwind experience, but life is going well. I am working full time. My wife and I started a family. We have a daughter who is about nine months old now. I believe that God has used this experience to form me into a better person. The best advice I received and give is to have a positive attitude and reach out for support. We aren’t meant to do this alone!
