My Mom – My Why!

Published on May 1, 2024 in Share Your Story

Guest Author: Lauren J. in Massachusetts

I was 15 years old when my mom was diagnosed with glioblastoma (GBM). Being so young, I was so naive to know how serious it was. My mom always tried to protect me and even though she knew the outcome wasn’t going to be good, she always put on a brave face and told me everything was ok.

Now at 36 and a mother myself, I go gray in May for my mother Vivian. I carry her legacy on with me and with my daughter Vivian.
