19 year survivor

Published on July 22, 2018 in Share Your Story

I was 31 years old when I was diagnosed. I just turned 50 this year.  I was told by the doctor,  “I can extend your life but I can’t save it.” I was devastated. I had three children: 10, 8, and 5. They diagnosed me with anaplastic astrocytomas mixed glioma grade 2. They removed all they could see and I recieved ccnu and followed with radiation. I have had  no recurrences to date ,even with the diagnosis…. if they can get to it and remove all it’s well worth the fight.
