Meditation Mondays

National Brain Tumor Society created our “Meditation Mondays” program in 2020 with the goal of providing patients, their care partners, and families an opportunity to attend free meditation classes focused on mindfulness, relaxation, and breathing.

Led by Victoria (Tori) Best, PharmD, BCGP, RPh, Meditation Mondays is an opportunity for patients with a brain tumor and care partners to learn techniques of meditation and mindfulness that may help manage stress and anxiety, improve mood and quality of life, enhance focus, and find peace in their daily lives.

August 2024 Update:

Meditation Mondays is paused for the remainder of the year with no more sessions scheduled in 2024.

In the meantime, we encourage you to explore NBTS’s other programs to provide you with continued support and community:

  • Brain Tumor Support Conversations is an online support group run by the brain tumor community for the brain tumor community where patients and loved ones can have honest, supportive discussions about the feelings and emotions that accompany any aspect of the brain tumor experience.
  • Grief Support Conversations is an open, supportive space for bereaved brain tumor community members to share their experiences with grief among peers and under the guidance of a professional facilitator, Holly Gainsboro.

Meditation Teacher: Tori Best, PharmD, BCGP, RPh

Tori has been cultivating her own personal practice for more than 15 years and teaching in her local community since 2017. After her mom’s glioblastoma diagnosis turned her world upside down, her personal practice helped turn it right-side up again, and she felt called to help others find that same sense of peace, connection, and resilience within themselves. Tori completed her RYT®️ 200 with Sanctuary Studios in Plymouth, MA, in 2017 and studied with Indra Yoga Institute in 2020 with instructors and newfound family from across the globe to become an RYT®️ 500. She welcomes people from all backgrounds to come sit with everything they need to sit with, to breathe through everything they need to breathe through, and to hold space within themselves for what is deeply human within us all.
