The Legacy Society for a Cure

The Legacy Society for a Cure is more than just a philanthropic endeavor; it’s a beacon of hope, uniting compassionate individuals and families who understand the urgent need to invest in the future of NBTS’s mission. By joining this exclusive society, you become part of a community dedicated to paving the way for future generations in the battle against brain tumors. This society honors those who have chosen to include NBTS in their estate or planned giving plans.

We understand that thinking about the future can be difficult. Still, your decision to include NBTS in your estate and planned giving is a testament to your incredible generosity and foresight. By foreplanning your last and greatest gift now, you are ensuring that you are leaving a legacy that will continue to make a difference in the lives of countless individuals affected by brain tumors.

Together, we can make a difference that will last for generations and ensure we conquer and cure brain tumors — once and for all!

Bequests

Giving to NBTS through your will or living trust is often referred to as a bequest. Making a future gift through a will or living trust is a very flexible way to give. Giving in this way allows you to keep your assets for your lifetime and support NBTS in the future. A bequest can be for a specific amount or for a percentage of your estate, depending on what works best for you. You can use any assets you wish to make a bequest, whether you decide to use cash, securities, real estate, or any personal property. A bequest is also revocable, meaning that you can change your plans at any time. If you would like to make a bequest to NBTS, please feel welcome to contact us for sample language to provide to your attorney.

Beneficiary Designations

Another way to make a future gift to NBTS is by designating NBTS as the beneficiary or a partial beneficiary of one of your assets. For example, this could include your retirement account, a bank account, or a life insurance policy. Like bequests, beneficiary designations are flexible, and you can adjust your designation at any time. To make NBTS the beneficiary of one of your assets, you will need to contact the financial institution or company that manages this asset. You will need to complete a simple beneficiary designation form, or in the case of a bank account, you will need to change the account type to a payable on death (POD) account. Please contact us if you have any questions about beneficiary designations.
