I work as a professional firefighter. One day I was at work eating lunch. Passed out onto the kitchen floor. The firefighters I was working with said I was out for 30-40 seconds. They took me to the hospital and I had tests and MRI done. They found a possible tumor and gave me 3 more months to do another MRI and see what happens. The tumor got bigger. Found out it was glioblastoma. Went to University of Maryland and had brain surgery for several hours. The surgeon was able to get it all. The surgeon told me I had 5 years to live now. Wow, I want a lot longer. Did 6 weeks of radiation and 6 months of chemotherapy. Do MRI’s every 3 -4 months and blood work. So far I’ve been doing great. Because of the surgery, I do have some memory loss. The biggest is forgetting people’s names, only if I didn’t know you for over 10 years. Oh well. I am very thankful that this is going good for me and I would like to stay with my family for many years. And I DO believe I will. Thanks to the Lord God Above.
