Every Day Is a Gift

Janice

In 2012, at the age of 49, I woke up with an excruciating headache. This was unusual. I’m a clean living, healthy diet, holistic, gym rat. The ER CT scan showed a brain bleed. I was flown by Mercy Flight to a more qualified hospital. I had an emergency craineotomy to remove a fist sized glioblastoma that had ruptured. Later pathology revealed stage 4 brain cancer. My whole world changed in an instant. The strong support of my family, friends and angels helped me through the surgery and subsequent chemo and radiation. Currently I’m on intermittent chemo therapy and am participating in a clinical trial.

Since my surgery, I married, became a Reiki Master & teacher. I’m back at the gym lifting lighter weights.

I believe in thinking positive, healthy living, having a strong will, exercising, combining alternative healing, such as Reiki, with conventional medicine and surrounding oneself with family and friends.

Advances in medicine will help us live longer and stronger. Live life to the fullest. Every day is a gift.
