National Brain Tumor Society Statement on Passing of Former President Jimmy Carter

Published on December 29, 2024 in Press Release

National Brain Tumor Society mourns the passing of President Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, a fierce proponent of civil rights, a consensus-builder, and a humanitarian.

President Carter leaves us with a long and admirable legacy from his time in office and the decades of service and nonprofit work that followed. His ability to bring people together to work towards a common goal, as well as his unwavering drive, determination, and persistence are qualities that resonate with many nonprofits. President Carter faced many challenges during his lifetime, cancer among them, and we will remember his story as one of strength and hope and embodying the concept of giving back.

Our condolences and thoughts are with President Carter’s family and loved ones.
