I was first diagnosed with a grade 2 Astrocytoma in my front left lobe in August 2012.  Dr. Weingart at Johns Hopkins performed surgery and was able to get all the tumor.  No chemo or radiation.

Then in 2018, the tumor came back as grade 2 again and was successfully removed by Dr. Weingart.  Again, no chemo or radiation. No permanent side effects other than sometimes taking a minute to collect my thoughts.

February of this year, I had a seizure, and they found the tumor had come back with brain swelling.  Khalid Kurtom from the University of Maryland performed surgery in April of this year and was able to get most of the tumor, which is now a grade 3.  I am currently undergoing six weeks of proton therapy at the Maryland proton therapy center along with daily oral chemo. Praying for a good outcome.
