I was a caretaker for my husband of 33 years when he was diagnosed with GBM Sep 12, 2022.  He fought everyday and survived 2 years and 3 months, this itself was a huge blessing as he was told he would have 3 months at the most but he kept fighting for his family. He was the most amazing man around.

When we received the diagnosis our world crumbled around us, but we knew we had to keep going.  My husband was the bread winner in the family and from supporting his family as a long haul trucker he was told he could not drive anymore.  I had to step in as his disability did not cover much.

Our support system was and is the best from friends’ family and even our medical team made the road easier for us all, my husband was the strongest man alive and it was hard at first but then he took comfort in knowing that we had such a strong support systems.

Oh boy I want the world to  know about this increasing disease more and more people are being affected by this disease, we need to put more resources into finding a cure or even away to prolong life, I want have everyone aware of this disease, I plan on wearing gray everyday and handing out grey ribbon pins, be there for others who are facing this disease

It affects anyone, not just the rich and famous but even the little person, let people know that even though there might not be a cure at this time but you can still enjoy your life, IT’S NOT A DEATH SENTENCE!!

Enjoy every minute with your loved one no matter how long or short your time maybe, forget about everything that really does not matter and love your loved one. Let go of the little things.
