My Child, My Baby

Three weeks ago my two year old was diagnosed with AT/RT. He was a normal 2 year old boy doing 2 year old boy things until he wasn’t. It happened very fast. Today was our first day of chemotherapy.

It changed for the worse overnight. We are grateful he’s still here but we have a long road. We are prepared to fight hard!

The community has been amazing. Old friends, new friends, family and strangers have come together to support our journey. I am forever grateful.

We are going gray because so many are unaware of this condition, including myself prior to my son’s diagnosis. We need to do more to raise awareness and allow more research.

I had no idea that my child, my baby, could randomly have a gene mutation to cause this.

We will win this fight.
