The reality is John did not want to be remembered in connection with Glioblastoma however he did want to be a part of the research that could help someone else and provide hope wherever possible. He was a beautiful husband, a loving father to his children, a caring neighbor and friend. He was an athlete and a sharp dresser with an infectious smile. He could dance the robot like no other and everyone wanted to be around him. Approximately two and half years post diagnosis, unable to comprehend and process things like he used to, he was however able to run . . . he even ran a half marathon and placed in his age group while on chemo! A year and a half after the run and the renewal of our vows, post two resections, many treatments and a clinical trial later, I prayed he would be liberated from the disease to run with the angels.
