Bad things happen to good people

Published on May 18, 2016 in Share Your Story

I was 25 when I got diognosed, the DR’s said that my tumor was uncommon in my age, it was common in children & elderly.I never got mad at anyone I prayed and ask God to help me fight this upcoming battle with me! I had great friends and family to rely on and a wonderful husband to stand beside me. I can only imagine what he was feeling! My son was 2 at the time and now he’s 16! I had a brain surgery in November 2000 & another in September 2001, I was barley healing from the first one and found out that it had grown back that rapidly. After the second surgery they gave me 3 to 5 yrs to live! I was devastated! I prayed and prayed for complete and total healing. All I asked for is to watch my son graduate, and he will be a senior next year!

I am adopted but none of my adopted family has anything like this so I’m not sure how or why it happened to me but God works in mysterious ways and I’m here for a reason! It’s the devil’s work! Mine is still there but it’s not growing at this time. It’s a very aggressive tumor and only by God’s will I am here! My son is a blessing and I tell people never take life for granted, you NEVER know what will happen today, tomorrow or anytime! Live life to the fullest, EVERYDAY, tell people that you love them ALL THE TIME, CAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT TOMORROW BRINGS!
