Carolina’s Crusade

Carolina

I was diagnosed with a left frontal lobe meningioma 8 cm on 7/22/13. I had all the red flags for many years but my family physician would not send me for an MRI. I finally insisted and lost my temper and that’s when I was diagnosed. I immediately saw Dr. Sampath, a Neurosurgeon in RI who scheduled my surgery for 7/25. After cutting me from ear to ear and removing the entire tumor, I was told it was benign. I then developed a blood clot in the left lower extremity. I also lost my ‘filter’ because it was left frontal lobe and some people including family don’t speak to me. That’s ok. I’m alive and healthy!
