I am walking this for the first time this year in memory and honor of my “baby” sister Ellen. After a random seizure in her early 40’s, a brain tumor(glioma) was discovered. She lived her life as normally as was possible, it was a life that revolved around her awesome family and friends. During the last couple of years, things got quite challenging and uncertain but she demonstrated amazing strength and courage, and worked hard at maintaining a positive attitude. She fought very hard to be able to dance at her son’s wedding, and she did! Sadly she lost her life last June, a month before she would have turned 52, and a few months before her first grandchild was born. She was a wife and a mother to three amazing kids; they were her life. I am blessed to call her my sister and to walk for her.

She would tell others to stay positive, lean on your family and friends, don’t forget to laugh, go to the beach, and dance!

This is for you Ellen❤
