Fighting a Brain Tumor

Published on June 16, 2025 in Share Your Story

Guest Author: John S. in North Carolina

After a period of sleep issues and balance problems, a CT scan last August revealed my brain tumor.  I was transferred to Duke Hospital for extensive brain surgery and 33 rounds of radiation.  I received great care.

Nevertheless, my last MRI indicated another growth, so I’m going back for more treatments.  Tumors are relentless, and I have to keep my warrior mode on to keep fighting.  I’ve got great support from family and friends, and I know I’m not alone in this battle. Keep moving and fighting on this journey!
