Improved outcome…

Published on April 2, 2019 in Share Your Story

Soon after the deer in the headlights experience. It didn’t take long, on the Internet, to get past the grim prognosis and learn that there ARE long term survivors, some of them progression free. My walnut sized tumor was removed on November 18, 2016. I continued my treatment with the SOC, finishing with a year of maintenance TMZ.

I had already been using medical cannabis, for several years, and found it helpful in relieving the pain of arthritis and through two hip replacement surgeries. When I received the preliminary GBM Dx, we quickly ramped up to cancer sized doses of cannabis oil. Only interrupting this treatment for a few days, following my surgery, to watch for swelling.

I use a whole plant tincture, adjusted to deliver roughly 800 mg THC to 200 mg CBD a day…based on clinical evidence that this may be optimal for treating GBM. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2806496/

Ben Williams – Surviving Terminal Cancer free to watch on https://vimeo.com/119006145 and
Integrative Oncology (Weil Integrative Medicine Library) 2nd Edition, were excellent places to start. I also recommend: Radical Remission by Kelly A. Turner

I also go in for a variety Jin Shin Jitsu, Ayurvedic Massage, Acupuncture, etc.

I eat mostly organic and local sustainable food.
