Jackie’s Story

Jackie

At the age of 34, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. This came after years of suffering debilitating migraines, along with other symptoms now associated with the tumor. The diagnosis was a setback, but since receiving treatment, I have been able to move forward in my life free of the burdens I once carried. Many of the symptoms that were impacting my life so negatively are now gone.

I want people to realize that brain tumors affect everyone. Making the symptoms more widely known can lead to earlier detection, earlier treatment, and a more favorable prognosis. Get Your Head In The Game® allows people a forum to speak out and take action.

Although brain tumors can have devastating results, my wish is to inspire hope in others, and show that we can beat this devastating disease. Being involved with brain tumor awareness has given me a greater purpose for this path I am on in life. I’m extremely grateful for every opportunity I’ve had, especially because they have led me to my fiancée – also a brain tumor survivor.
