Lisa Colon’s Legacy

Maria

Lisa was a loving and dedicated mother, wife, niece, sister a devoted friend, Christian and was loved by many. A wise, nurturing and selfless person, she was always empathetic to the plight of others, even when she was sad or in pain. Lisa’s sense of humor was one of her greatest attributes, and her contagious laughter was good medicine for everyone around her. She always found away to go above and beyond to help people and teach the word of God. I am sure that when she was diagnosed with cancer, she loving and wisely used her humor to protect her family and everyone in her world of sadness including her husband and children. Though her body was sick, her wisdom and grace provided a model for us all. Her love was unconditional, and she was truly a profound light in this world loving the word of God.

In honor of her memory and all the other people who lost their lives too soon because of this deadly disease, her family and I ask you to share your strength and support and joining us in fighting against brain cancer. Lisa was a kind and wise “Young Soul” who would have wanted us to channel our sadness and fear into positive, life, sustaining action. This is why I feel passionate and compelled to make a difference in the quest for a cure. I am sure we all feel that Brain Cancer research is progressing at a snare’s pace and understand that it lacks funding and awareness. Lisa would be happy to see all of us together to help others save a life by playing a part in finding a cure for this devastating disease. So please, be a light in this world to those battling this deadly disease. Come bring your friends and share good times, with good people, for a good cause. Walk, spread the awareness, and/or donate to The National Brain Tumor Society. Each time we empathize with the suffering of others, we keep Lisa’s spirit alive.

With loving gratitude,

On behalf of her family, children, husband and Tia Mari and All of her love ones!
