Living on borrowed time…

Published on March 14, 2017 in Share Your Story

In 2007, I had brain tumor removal surgery to remove a meningioma the size of a “large orange”. 6 weeks later, the incision became infected and I had another surgery to clean it out. 3 years later, I was diagnosed with a regrowth located in an area where surgery isn’t an option. I’ve had Gamma Knife Radiosurgery to stop the tumor from growing but I now take medication for seizures, depression and anxiety. I sleep 12-14 hrs a day…can’t drive…can’t stand more than 5 minutes…and because it took so long for Social Security to approve me, I lost my house and just about everything in it in May 2015. This is an everyday struggle that I wish upon no one! May God bless you all!
