Malignant Brain Tumor Twice Blessed!!!

Sherri

My name is Sherri Lauer. I had my First Malignant Brain Tumor when I was 9. I remember going right from the Dr.’s office straight to the Hospital to be admitted for testing. After being in the Hospital for a Month, I thought it was over; however, my Mom & Dad explained that I would need Radiation Treatments. Needless to say, being 9 years old & losing your hair, was more devastating to me than the operation.

I remember one day crying to my Mom as Clumps of Hair would fall out & she would say “I will let you Cry for 5 minutes, but think about the people who lose arms & legs that do not grow back at all”! My hair grew some, but very thin.

In 1991 I was diagnosed again with another Malignant Brain Tumor because a Cell slipped away from 1972. This one was wrapped around nearves & I was unable to have radiation again because they said it would kill me & that I would need chemo if anything instead. Luckily, they were able to get it all out successfully!

Since then, I’ve had Kidney removed from Cancer as well, but Life is a Gift because it enabled me to Quit my Job as a Secretarial Slave & I am now a Mary Kay Team Leader for 22 years working out of my home!

My Mission in Life is to be able to “Build Women Internally & Externally so that they too can live their Best Life”!

I was extremely lucky to have all the Love & Support through Family & Friends & with the Faith we all have realize that as hard as that was, we are extremely Blessed today! I am now married for 25 years, have 3 Beautiful Children, (An Angel Baby in Heaven) & a Son who is 15 & a Daughter who is 13.

I wish Anyone who goes through this, the same Love, Support, & Strenth with Courage to get through!
