At Christmas 2022, my mom seemed off; not talking, pretty lethargic.

We had just taken a trip to New York City on December 3, and she was fine. We had a blast walking all over Manhattan! But she was not herself just three weeks later. My mom, dad, and I talked about getting her to the doctor. I was thinking maybe it was a stroke or the onset of Parkinson’s Disease. On January 13, 2023, she was diagnosed with glioblastoma, and it was inoperable due to the location of the mass.

My wonderful mother passed away only 10 weeks later on March 24, 2023. She fought hard in the beginning of her diagnosis and did complete three weeks of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. She still wanted to go shopping and was making plans for a vacation in June for my parents 41st anniversary. It was heartbreaking to watch her deteriorate so quickly and leave us so soon. She was only 71 and worked two part time jobs for fun, shopped, and traveled quite a bit. I miss her every second of each day.
