Miracle child

Keosha

My name is Keosha Price and I had to undergo two brain surgeries due to a brain tumor in November 2007. In 2005 I started to lose my balance, eyesight and hearing. Neurosurgeon informed me that my brain tumor was the size of an apple and has been growing since I was a child to be this size. On November 5, 2007 they removed the tumor but couldn’t get it all because part of it was on my brain stem and they didn’t want to clip a nerve. November 23. 2007 I had a VP shunt placed on the left side of my brain to drain the fluid. In 2009 I had a Trachea placed in my throat due to the brain tumor. It took me about two years to recover because of the size of my tumor. I had to learn how to walk, talk, write and a lot of other things all over again. The surgery lasted for over 6 hours and I could barely turn my head for days after the surgery, The surgery went well because my Dr. been in practice for over 30 years and he is well known around the world. I was extremely thirsty but I couldn’t have water or ice. The brain tumor grew back and it’s pressing against my brain stem so my hearing in my right ear is 4%. My mom has 3 brain tumors and they are hereditary so headaches, loss of balance and noise in your ear are signs of a brain tumor. Brain tumor cause me to have personality changes and days where I want to be to myself. I want to bring awareness to my city because brain tumors are deadly and there is no cure.
