National Brain Tumor Society Statement on Passing of Bobbi Barrasso, Wife of Senator John Barrasso

Published on January 25, 2024 in Press Release

National Brain Tumor Society is saddened to hear of the passing of Bobbi Barrasso, wife of United States Senator John Barrasso, following treatment for glioblastoma (GBM).

Our thoughts, condolences, and wishes for comfort are with Senator Barrasso and all Mrs. Barrasso’s family and loved ones.

Mrs. Barrasso had a long and admirable career in public and community service, including involvement with cancer-related charities, and her life is an example in advocating for important causes and unmet needs. Her passing underscores the need for greater urgency in the effort to develop better treatments – and ultimately a cure – for the more than one million Americans currently living with a brain tumor, while supporting their loved ones, and honoring those that have been lost to this terrible disease.
