Remembering Phillip

Brandy

Phillip has battled cancer since he was in primary school. He was diagnosed with brain cancer as a little boy. His fight began at St.Jude in Memphis, TN. Phillip was always such a strong person and never gave up hope. He went threw chemo and several surgeries to remove the tumor. He would win his battle and begin his life Cancer free in his teenage years.

Little did we know that his battle would begin a second time at age 31 on September 2013. This time he would face a grade 4 glioblastoma. His diagnoses would rock our family, but would not break his spirit or his strength. Phillip would get up every day and give 100% never complaining. Always grateful and laughing. The tumor would take his ability to walk, talk and move his limbs on his own. He still never gave up!! He celebrated his 32 birthday on September 21,2014. Phillip passed away at Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center on October 8th 2014. He was truly a soldier, and is now one of God’s Angels!! We love and miss him every day.
