My Son past Away on March 3,2017. He fought this brain cancer battle for 7 years. He has made me so proud of him. He accomplished so much. He graduated college and fulfilled his dream of being an 12th grade English teacher, at Providence High School.

He taught his entire family something new everyday.

My heart is broken and I know my life will never be the same again. But one of his lessons he taught me was to be strong. I can feel him in me every day and he has made his wonderful father and his best friend who so happens to his sister, he has taught the 3 of us what the true meaning of what unconditional Love is all about.

My list could go on and on with all that he has taught us. I do know that the 26 years, I had with him, was the best 26 years of not only my life but his father and sisters as well. We love you, Derik and we will continue to fight for a cure. You will be missed everyday. I will see you again and always know that your mom loved you so much, and there are no words that can come close to trying to explain it.
