Stacy Howard: From Tumor to Tiara

Nearly three years ago, in April 2022, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. I had major brain surgery and follow-up radiation treatment every day for 45 days. To say this was a scary time is an understatement, but I got through it because of my incredible family and friends who took care of me. And thanks to the AMAZING surgical and nursing staff of UCLA!

You never know what life will throw at you. I’ve come out of this experience that much more aware of how little time we have on this earth and to be thankful for every day I have to share with loved ones. While the post-surgery pics are pretty grim, don’t worry, I wore a ball gown and tiara on my final day of radiation treatment because life is too short not to wear a tiara!
