I was diagnosed with a meningioma brain tumor on September 16, 2016. My brain was massively swollen from the tumor. Sugurery was performed 4 days later. Wonderful doctors and staff at Universiry of Colorado removed the tumor and helped me recover. I returned to my hometown to find the overwhelming support and comfort of the great community that I live in. I am still recovering and I still have a small brain tumor that will be monitored every 6 months. I have learned that life is precious….don’t sweat the small stuff…let everyone you come across know they are valuable, important and appreciated. I have reconnected with family and friends that I have lost touch with over the years. Some days are a struggle but I am very thankful that I am still here.
