Thank you mom!

Published on July 22, 2019 in Share Your Story

My mother (50) is diagnosed with GBM 3 months ago. She has gone through biopsy, a surgery, radiotherapy and the first cycle of chemotherapy. Tomorrow is the last day of her first cycle.

Like you could all imagine, she has been through a lot in the last 3 months. Although it was all pretty hard, she has not even complained once and she has never given up. I can not believe how strong she is. Given her prognosis, she still lives every day as the best as she can.

She is a single working mother in Turkey. She has been my mom, my friend, my dad and my spirit – and still is. I just want to thank her anonymously for being who she is and giving me the courage to still live my life and be strong.

Patients, caregivers and friends out there, I wish you all the strength.

Love.
