Eric is Fighting for More Time with His Twin Toddlers

In 2016, Eric Goldman and his wife Jane became the proud parents of twin boys, Sandy and Jake. They rolled up their sleeves and got to the not-inconsiderable task of raising twins. In 2018, the Goldman family moved from Brooklyn to Ossining, New York.

Shortly after moving and two days before the twins’ second birthday, Eric underwent emergency brain surgery to remove a golf ball-sized tumor. He was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme, or GBM, a rare form of brain cancer. There is no cure. But there is hope.
One option involves a personalized immunotherapy that works to teach the immune system how to fight the cancer. Unfortunately, this promising treatment is not available in the U.S. outside of clinical trials.

Eric is currently recovering from his second brain surgery, and recently began another round of radiation. Soon Eric will go to Germany where cancer experts will create the vaccine that will help Eric’s immune system fight the cancer. With science, hope, and our help, Sandy and Jake will get to grow up with their dad, and Jane will get to grow old with the man she loves.
