My Healing

Published on September 10, 2019 in Share Your Story

My name is Kc. I feel like God and Jesus are wanting me to do this, so, I am going to do what they want me to do.

When I was 20 years old, I was married and I was pregnant. During my pregnancy I was having headaches that are worse than a migraine. Doctors decided to give me a CT scan. Unfortunately the doctor I was working with told me I had cancer but needed to see a specialist. I was sent to Centennial Hospital.

On May 22 I started to have seizures and I was forced to deliver my baby girl premature.

After an MRI was done on May 26, I had surgery. The doctor who did my surgery surgery told my parents they could not take all of the tumor out because part of the tumor was around the brain stem and I was given 12-15 months to live.

I had to re-learn everything – how to walk, talk – all basic movements.

One month later I was home. I had to start chemo and radiation to make sure all the cancer was gone.

The type of cancer I had was Glioblastoma and I had stage 4 but I’m happy to say It has been 5 years and 1 month and 5 days cancer or tumor free!
