Glioblastoma Awareness Day

ABOUT GBM MAKE A GIFT

Join Us

On July 16, 2025, come together for the seventh annual Glioblastoma Awareness Day. Together, we will raise nationwide awareness about glioblastoma (GBM), the most common, complex, treatment-resistant, and deadliest type of brain cancer. In the weeks leading up to GBM Day, NBTS is sharing stories, information, and ways to take action. We invite you to share your story — doing so not only helps spread awareness; it can also make others feel less alone.

We invite you to watch this video featuring patients and care partners impacted by glioblastoma. Hear their experiences, what “a better chance” means to them, and why breakthroughs can’t wait. Our 2025 GBM Day video program will be released in mid-July.

About Glioblastoma Awareness Day

National Brain Tumor Society spearheaded this annual event in 2019 to support survivors and their loved ones, to remember those who are no longer with us, and to honor luminaries working toward a cure and better quality of life for those living with this devastating disease.

In the weeks leading up to GBM Awareness Day, we share stories, information, and ways to take action and raise awareness about glioblastoma. Each year, on or near GBM Day, NBTS shares a new video program highlighting the GBM experience and amplifying the voices of people impacted by glioblastoma.
NBTS focuses on advocacy efforts — more funding for research, better policies for patients and care partners — for the GBM community all year round, and each GBM Day we organize a GBM Awareness Day reception with lawmakers.
