I was September 2018. My right arm was uncontrollably jerking. Many tests were performed, but my blood work came back good, so I was sent home with muscle relaxers.
In November 2018, I lost balance and constantly was being pulled to the right. Running into people, walls, whatever. Going down the stairs, my right side completely betrayed me. I once fell, hurting my ribs and my head. I waited to get into my actual doctor (as I’ve been misdiagnosed 4 times by physician assistants). By the time I got into see my doctor, I didn’t cared about the ribs, I just wanted to know why I kept being pulled to the right.
A CAT scan was done the same day and MRI 2 days later.
My doctor – Dr. Brummer – got me into the Mayo and I was eventually scheduled to be seen on December 24, 2018 and was given 2 to 4 months to live. The tumor was growing so fast, my half hour biopsy turned into 3 and a half hours surgery.
I started radiation and chemo at Abbott Cancer Center in Minneapolis 3 days later. Amazing place.
I won’t give up.
