Avett’s Avengers

Published on June 11, 2021 in Share Your Story

Avett’s story began on December 18, 2014. He had four seizures and we took him to the ER where a CT revealed a mass on the left frontal lobe of his brain. He was just 22 months old.

Avett is one tough guy! He has had 2 brain surgeries, several rounds of inpatient chemo, 31 treatments of proton therapy and 1 full year of maintenance chemo. He received his last round of chemo in August of 2016.

He is approaching 5 years post treatment! He will continue a 6 month MRI regimen to check for growth of the tumor. He is a fighter and truly the sweetest, most loving little boy, even through every obstacle he has endured. He is our super hero!
