My Brain Tumor

Brian

My name is Brian, I am a 16 year old sophomore in high school. In the fall of 2013 I was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. I found out I had a brain tumor because I had been having a lot of headaches, so we went to the doctor and then eventually got an MRI.

The MRI showed that I had a tumor in the left ventricle in my brain. This was pretty devastating news to a kid my age as it would be to anyone. The support that I received from my friends, family, high school football and baseball team was amazing! The day of the surgery I was so nervous, it was my first ever surgery and I was about to undergo brain surgery. Having a brain tumor changed my outlook on life and taught me to never waste a single second in your life and to always enjoy the little things.

I am back to normal and going strong! I encourage everyone to join the fight against Brain Tumors.
