Don’t Give up the Fight – Glioblastoma Multiforme IV

Dean

August 2010 my life changed, I had surgery to remove my tumor at Cleveland Clinic. Was given 14 to 17 months to survive. I also have heart issues. The day I started my radiation, my wife wheeled me out of room and on other side of room sat a girl about 8 or 9 in a wheelchair already with no hair. My fight started to get stronger that very moment and the feeling in my body, I believe was from the Lord. That young child had not even enjoyed what life is all about and I was 76 years old… No feeling sorry for ones self, the strength I have in God and seeing her has allowed me to be here today. I continued on a daily basis to try to continue the things I loved to do. Even being weak from the chemo I continued to go places and walk to keep my body strong. July 2013 almost 3years later I was diagnosed with a small tumor too deep for surgery without some permanent damage. I’m presently taking chemo and on treatment no. 5. My wife has taken me for acupuncture treatments, now we are receiving Reiki treatments, massage therapy and reflexology. My determination, Faith, Hope and strength that God has given me has truly allowed me to know that someone is walking by my side. My comment is “Continue to fight your battle. New medication is on its way.”
