Rich was 54 years old when one day he was fine and the next he woke up acting like he had a stroke by slurring his words and having right sided weakness. The ct scan in the emergency department found a brain tumor which later was found to be anaplastic ependymoma. A short 7 weeks later the tumor bled again where it took his life. He was an amazing father and grandfather who was also the fire captain for the local fire department.
