Diagnosed with a stage 2 ependymoma in 2009 at age of 59. had surgery at UCSF by a great physician, Michael Mcdermott, who performed a miracle.

It has been 16 years,, and I have already hiked to Everest Base Camp. completed 2 Double Century bike rides. I am 75, and life is still good. I know , I am a very lucky person, my older brother died of a glioblastoma at age 39 in 1987. never knowing that one day I would be joining the brain tumor community. Recently, I have had a small recurrence, and we have been monitoring it for almost 2 years. It is currently “wait and watch”.  In the mean time , keep on trucking!
