Support groups are a great way to help patients and caregivers not feel so alone throughout their journey with a brain tumor. After you’ve completed your treatment, consider staying actively involved in your support community, not only for your benefit, but to be an inspiration to others going through their own brain tumor journey.
Remember Your Support Groups
The diagnosis of a brain tumor and all that follows can be a lonely and confusing experience. You don’t have to go through this process alone and speaking with others who know what you’re going through can be a great comfort. Many hospital systems have support groups patients, family members, and care partners can attend. Some of these groups may even be brain tumor-specific. Ask your doctor, nurse navigator, or social worker for a list of support groups in your area.
